2020 Year in Review – A Year to Remember!

We don’t need a traditional static office in a crowded building.

Instead, we need an exciting, engaging space where we can meet and collaborate with our colleagues to make things happen, to bring new products to life faster! We need a flexible working space powered by professional, reliable workspace service providers! We need Coworking 3.0 that offers even more flexibility to big and small companies, whenever and wherever they need it.

But successfully managing and operating a flexible workspace in a profitable way is very hard. 2020 was a particularly hard year for most operators of flex space.

In fact, the COVID-19 pandemic is the perfect storm for our industry. Although things may look very dark at the moment, the skies on the horizon, post-pandemic are clearer than ever.

It’s darkest just before dawn! The demand and the adoption of flexible working models will rapidly hit new highs and it will come really fast. The question is, are you ready for that growth? Do you have the right tech and operational foundations to scale your businesses?

In 2020 we invested heavily in R&D to take our product and services to a whole new level. We kept pushing as hard as we can, and some more, to make OfficeRhD the best technology to run a flex space!

What 2020 meant for OfficeRnD

In 2020 we kept growing faster than we thought is physically possible. We’ve doubled our business, we’ve added more than 300 new brands to our awesome customers’ list.

We successfully launched a new product line to manage your visitors and mail and released completely new member-facing tools. We released 160+ new versions (yep, that’s a new release every other day!) of the platform.

Our platform and team are serving more than 200 000 awesome members in 50+ countries. In fact, we’ve got more than 15 000 managers logging into the OfficeRnD platform from 114 countries. To better serve our growing customer needs, our team grew from 50 to 70+ people across Sofia, London, and Atlanta.

We’re also on our way to become a thought leader in our industry – growing rapidly in our communities across social networks and doubling our readers.

Our growth plans for 2021 are well, scary, and exciting! But we will talk more about that soon.

Team that delivers

In order to provide a great software solution, you have to start with a great team. And we have the best team here! We care about each other, we care about the industry and we care about our customers.

The OfficeRnD team is willing to sacrifice long hours of hard work in order to provide world-class service and great software. Something that is key and is the ethos of the coworking hospitality.

In 2020, 29 amazing people joined our team to support our growing coworking community. Thank you, all for making it such an amazing year. You are the best!

During the summer, when things were more normal, we managed to organize the very first OfficeRnD Hack Week – a week-long, time-bending, code-crushing event where we all gathered together to develop something new and awesome! As a result, 6 ideas were developed and already found their ways to customers!

Solution that works

Having a great team and vision working in an amazing industry were the key factors in driving OfficeRnD to grow super fast.

• We released our brand new and improved Mobile and Web Member Apps for Coworking and Flex Spaces.
• When the first COVID-19 lockdowns started we introduced many features to answer the new needs, some of which: Video Rooms in the Member Portal which helped communities remain close, new member messaging options, and new invoice discounts options.
• We improved our billing with many features, some of which were the Billing Lock Date and advanced document numbering options.
• We made it even easier to keep you members informed with Push Notifications in the Premium Apps
• The new Global Search became the new favorite tool of all admins with a bang.
• We made it easier than ever to renew contracts with just a single click.
• We revamped the public member tools: Signup, Booking Page and Login Page.
• And we never stopped adding more and more to our Member Experience tools and we introduced the new Reception App.
• Webhooks and SSO were both introduced, and both made the life of many organizations keeping a large ecosystem of technology much easier

What comes next

Although we accomplished a lot and we had the best intentions to build the perfect solution for flexible workspaces in a year we still couldn’t catch up with our ambition. We’re looking forward to 2021 more excited than ever. There’s so much more to do!

We can make a more social, more mobile, more user-friendly experience for your workspace members and tenants, more automated and integrated for your staff, and more data-driven for your stakeholders.
