Integration overview

OfficeRnD Flex brings together all the business-critical processes of a flex or coworking space, from memberships and bookings to access control, while also helping operators drive new revenue. By tightly linking these areas, operators save time, avoid manual double work, and unlock more opportunities to grow their bottom line.

Our integration with BlueID extends these capabilities by automating the collaboration between the two systems: operators run the access control of their entire space from OfficeRnD Flex while taking full advantage of BlueID’s digital locking technology.

Once the integration is active, the following runs automatically whenever a booking is created or changed:

  1. Resources sync to BlueID as objects (resource type key ending in _room) or groups (_group), during setup and whenever a resource is created.
  2. Bracketed amenities (e.g. [Cafe]) sync as their own access object and auto-generate an access template; custom templates can be built in BlueID.
  3. For each booking of a synced resource, OfficeRnD sends the booking data and BlueID creates a temporary identity for the booked member, valid exactly for the booking start and end time.
  4. Change the booking and the access window updates; cancel it and BlueID revokes access immediately.
  5. The member unlocks via the BlueID app (Bluetooth) or an NFC card or fob. The integration does not open doors from the OfficeRnD app.

Sync runs in real time via webhooks, typically within 5 to 20 seconds. Each OfficeRnD company connects to exactly one BlueID organization and site.

What is BlueID?

BlueID is a Munich-based provider of cloud-based digital access control and locking solutions. BlueID combines NFC and Bluetooth technology with a cloud platform for real-time permission management: wireless, with offline functionality, and made in Germany.

  • Key management is cloud-based, so permissions can be managed anytime and from anywhere, via PC or smartphone.
  • Members, staff, and delivery or cleaning services are granted access exactly when it is appropriate.
  • Offline-capable, GDPR-compliant, made in Germany since 2006.
